Bought some fins online from them. Big mistake. They advertise free shipping, but I realized only too late after clicking the purchase button that 2 day expedited shipping is the default, so I paid like $19 to get a $30 pair of fins shipped. Then, they deny that it was a default and told me that I made that selection which is just a flat out lie! I even showed them a screen shot of it. Unfortunately sizing was off as I am always a 40 but the 39/40 was too small. I requested that they pay for return shipping since I never received the free shipping advertised on their website (the only reason I stupidly didn't support a local dive shop and buy in person). I don't appreciate being lied to by multiple people there telling me I chose to pay for shipping when I obviously thought I was getting free shipping.
Bought my new face mask their couldnt be happier. Guy who helped me fit in was great. Didnt catch his name for sure will be back
It was my first time there today,I am 68 years old, and I didn't know anything about Snarkling and goggles gear for swimming, I had one of the Best! Sales person, she was great, sooooo patient with me, I already know what fins I'm going to buy next. Great People!
Bought a pair of flippers and a mask from this shop, only to go online and see they have it available on Amazon for 39.99... I paid $125 for them. I lost the receipt within the time before I found the $39 price on amazon, and the people working there wouldn't not accept my return, even though it was the same day and the same people working there. Sure I should have done better to save my recipt, but this just was horrible business. Will be telling all my friends to avoid this shop at all costs, because it will cost them alot less to shop else where.
My son and I just got certified and have been looking around for package deals. Found Divers Supply online and found out that the Jacksonville store was about 3 hours away from my house. I had been looking at the Hog Pro because it looked comfortable and it also has a really cool logo. I started doing homework and even watched several hours of YouTube videos, staring Bob Collins and even watched a live show Bob did on another dive channel. I asked a couple of questions and not only did Bob answer them, he reached out to me and we spoke on the phone. After talking with Bob, I knew where we would buy our dive equipment. When we got to the store we were greeted immediately by the Staff. I was blown away by the amount of stuff they have on hand at the store. Bob came out and answered any questions I still had and spent time getting the right sizes down and making sure it fit right. I can say that the Hog Pro was very comfortable right off the shelf and was everything I imagined it would be. I was only looking to get just the the Bcd and Regs, but with their prices and great attitudes, we left with everything we needed to get in the water. So glad we made the three hour drive, it was definitely worth it. I have since called Bob and put in another order for some dive lights.
I know this review is long, but I can't say enough about this place and would recommend them all day long. If you are another dive shop reading this, remember attitude is everything and treating new diver's the same as professional divers goes along way in my book.
If you need any dive gear or want to get certified in diving I highly suggest Divers Supply in Jacksonville, Florida. They have a good website and the prices are really competitive and will price match too. I know they ship to US territories, not sure about international shipping.
I am incredibly pleased with the service and high quality instructuon we got from them: from responding so quickly to fill our desire for them to finish the classes they started in MD, to getting the right gear, spending extra time in the pool, and particularly their commitment to our safety. They were really amazing. They were a good place for us to invest our money!
Our details; We moved aboard our boat a month ago and sailed from Maryland to Florida and plan to dive from our boat. Our tween/teen boys were not able to finish their class this fall due to the instructor getting Covid. We needed gear for all of us, as well as the boys to finish certification, which we weren't sure if that could even happen. We came in on the day before Christmas to purchase our gear and Lee and Bob Collins got us set up for gear, helping us choose each piece appropriately. Bob was willing to do a private class/ refresher for all of us the day after Christmas in just a day and half. He spent extra time with us making sure we all got what we needed and also with one of my boys in the pool since he was having trouble with a particular skill. Bob has high expectations, but I think that was appropriate due to importance of safety and the nature of diving. For the certification dives the dive instructor Washington was fun yet clear on expectations and what needed to be done. The cert dives were held at Florida Springs and were really good beginner dives.
I ordered a dive bottle on Sunday it shipped on Monday I received Tuesday.
The packaging was done so well I had a hard time unwrapping it. Kudos diver supply. Well done. Thanks...
Divers Supply is THE place to go. Their staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, their prices are very reasonable and if you want to get certified then this is the place to go! Thank you Kim for being so thorough with our kids! They will be safe divers because you started them off right!
